A 63-year-old woman died in her home on the Indonesian island of Sumatra after being attacked by a herd of wild elephants, DPA reported.
The tragedy took place at night in a village in Lampung province, near the Bukit Barisan Selatan National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its rich biodiversity, the Indonesian news agency ANTARA reported, quoted by BTA.
Footage on social media shows the woman's destroyed house after the elephants invaded the village from the surrounding protected forest.
