First, I feel like what, 20 people being called from the horn was so pitiful. There's this huge build up about amazing warriors that get summoned...and then there's 20 (if that) of them. They're supposed to make a huge difference in major battles, but the kill maybe 50 seanchan... big whoop. And what a random battle field, just some quay...
I guess the whole episode really made me question how competent the show runners are even more. There was such a lack of....urgency?....direction?....pacing?.... I can't put my finger on it. To me Falme always equated to the Battle for Helms Deep. A large army of Seanchan getting held back by White Cloaks and some rebels, and it looks absolutely helpless..then bam, 100 of the best warriors ever seen. But Mat felt really selfish in his blowing of the horn. Not like he was trying to protect anyone. Idk. It all felt...like what's the big deal, who really cares?
Rand was pretty BA at first by using the power to kill rather than his sword, which makes sense from the show's perspective since he hasn't really learned yet, but his final battle with Ish...just felt very flat.
Moraine was pretty cool with her weaves...but she's not nearly that powerful. Kind makes it seem like the power scale is all sorts of off. She can destroy like 25 massive ships, but can't take on other fights randomly? And at that distance...like we've all all sorts of power scaling issues going on across all the channelers...
